You work for "requesters" and they can approve or reject your submitted tasks, also known as HITs. You can earn a lot more money on this site than other typical /beermoney sites, but you need to pay attention to which jobs you accept. Not all HITs pay well. They do require some sensitive information from you for tax purposes. Not everyone gets approved to work here, and some people will be approved months or years after being rejected. — Payment Proof.
*This site is international, but most of the tasks are only available for the USA. International users can only redeem Amazon.com balance.

• It is better to return a HIT than to submit to if you are unsure whether the requester will approve it. Returning a HIT will not negatively affect you, but a rejection will.
Scripts are allowed and encouraged. Checked /mturk for more tips and suggestions.

Sites to Avoid: Definitely DO NOT post these.

Earnsanity — Shady owner, sketchy site. Held giveaway and then refunded the prizes after it was over. History of scamming many others. AVOID AT ALL COSTS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED.
Paidverts — Shady owner, sketchy site. Keeps doing debt swaps (cash to BAP). Do not post.
Neobux — It isn’t really a scam, but they operate as a pyramid scheme. There’s money to be made online, but it’s definitely not there.
MarketGlory — It does pay out, but the pay is absolutely ridiculous. The only way to make a decent amount of money is to have a lot of referrals, and referral whoring on this subreddit WILL result in a permanent ban.
MindSumo — Not actually a /beermoney site. It’s only spam in this sub.
G2A — Scam/sells stolen keys.
Robinhood — This is spammed on our sub constantly.
Quickthoughts — Many reports of people being banned when trying to withdraw as of 10/2018. Do your due diligence before possibly wasting your time on this app.
Sites with $100+ minimum — These sites usually offer higher than normal payments for simple tasks, with a high minimum to cash out. They are always scams.
Generic news sites that pay you ridiculous amounts to read an article (two euros??) — Common sense should take care of this, but in case it doesn’t, it’s always a scam. The site is usually hosted somewhere in Eastern Europe, and you will never get paid.
Free bitcoin sites/"faucets" (THIS INCLUDES QOINPRO) — This is not referring to those video-viewing/task sites (although they’re still paying fragments of a penny). I’m talking about sites that give you 0.000001BTC to fill a captcha (freebitco.in, dailybitcoins). Admittedly many beermoney sites pay low, but don’t even bother with these.
Also: Bitcoin mining is NO LONGER PROFITABLE. If you're really so keen on getting bitcoins, doing so through an exchange is your best option.
Here are a few more scam sites and sketchy sites.

Please note that presence on this post does not imply that /beermoney or its moderators endorse the site or their views, actions, or policies. This list simply contains sites that are used by a large number of our users or are frequently mentioned on our subreddit.
We frequently monitor data from all the sites on this list from various sources to ensure that users are able and interested in utilizing them and if they do, that they also are getting paid promptly and fairly for all work they do. We make adjustments to this list and the order of sites accordingly based on all the data we receive.

Please make sure you follow the Rules of our subreddit and if you ever have any questions about anything beermoney related, please take a look at our extensive FAQ which should answer almost any question you might have.

Credhot - a link shortener that pays in Bitcoin

Get paid for the links you share using Credhot: https://credhot.com
Login and payouts are managed by Coinbase. Payouts happen daily based on the traffic your links receive, and go directly to your Coinbase account (off-blockchain transactions).
Competitors include AdFly and CoinURL (the latter pays in Bitcoin!) Both of these link shorteners introduce obtrusive interstitial pages. I'm trying to improve on their model because I believe everyone is a content producer and, as such, should have access to monetization tools.
Ultimately, I want more people to share more content. I believe it will make the world a better place. I would encourage you to try it out on reddit but it's against the rules (at least for this sub). Perhaps on Twitter? :)

Coinbase bitcoin exchange CEO asks /r/bitcoin why his submission got downvoted, user blames moderator /u/whollyhemp who recently became /r/buttcoin mod

For mod whollyhemp's /buttcoin drama, see: https://np.reddit.com/SubredditDrama/comments/31q7id/rbitcoin_mod_has_sold_out_to_the_government/ (there's been more since then but I'm lazy as ever)
Full thread: https://np.reddit.com/Bitcoin/comments/31tp2n/something_weird_is_going_on/
The short story is that he submitted a link about their upcoming $20k-reward hackathon and /bitcoin's reaction was downvotes plus a throwaway saying "Fuck off Coinbase". He doesn't understand why and thinks one possible reaction is bots or organized trolls.
It's worth noting that there's been recent unhappiness about Coinbase as they become more regulated; users don't like the intrusiveness or say despite being validated they're being denied the ability to trade.
Anyway, so why was his submission downvoted?
Paging whollyhemp ... did you or any of your new /buttcoin friends have anything to do with this?
Whatever the case, it's unacceptable. Please fix it.
I still just love how my simply asking for the ability for people to speak their mind about Bitcoin without being downvoted and called trolls automatically makes me a troll.
And no, I did not have anything to do this. In fact, I'm the one that regularly goes through and approves all the (numerous) posts about the same topic when there's major news at Bitcoin companies that are reported as reposts, and removes the vitriolic trolls, but I guess that doesn't fit into your narrative of me being some corrupt troll plant here to destroy Bitcoin from within.
There's a difference between someone expressing an earnest opinion about a shortcoming with bitcoin, and someone who is concern trolling, or making snarky and derisive comments that ruin the spirit of the discussion. This sub is absolutely plagued with trolls of that kind, and they seem to be getting more help lately in the form of mysterious upvotes.
It's ridiculous that you, as a moderator of /bitcoin, are defending a group of people who are actively engaged in destroying any possibility of a civil discussion in this sub. You should step down.
This is why outsiders say /Bitcoin looks like a cult.
[some comments shortened for brevity]
A Bitcoin website owner says that after getting into a debate with whollyhemp's "buddies" his site has been attacked by hackers
One user has a solution:
Just do what all the other CEOs do: ignore bitcoin and you won't miss a thing. Even one of our mods (supposedly responsible for de-trolling here) is a mod at buttcoin. Yes, the scene here is that ridiculous of a joke.
whollyhemp says the post is obviously being vote-manipulated with upvotes, it isn't taken well

Bitcoin webwallets and KratomDelight: a bad complination (Coinbase warned about closing my account after marking my transaction to buy kratom as "high risk".)

This is for people looking to buy Kratom with bitcoin, feel free to ignore this post if you're not involved with bitcoin.
So about a week ago I sent KratomDelight some btc to buy few Grams from their Amsterdam shop. It's been almost a week since the order and today I received a message from coinbase similar to the following:
Your transactions seem to be in violation of our ToS [...] We realise Kratom isn't illegal in the US but it is illegan in many other jurisdictions [...] we consider such transactions high risk.
Note that the above is a shortened version of the email I received so I didn't quote word for word.
Here's what I suspect might have happened. Coinbase does indeed have strict ToS that get updated without notice. About a year ago they updated it to make "high risk and illegal transactions" against their ToS. Users taking part in such transactions could get their accounts suspended (meaning that all they could do is withdraw their funds and close the account afterwards).
While kratom doesn't exactly fit their criteria of "illegal transactions"(meaning they'd be illegal under US law) they still have the right to call transactions high risk if they feel like it. That's probably what happened to me.
If you're wondering how they were able to spot the transaction... Well, KratomDelight use the same bitcoin wallet address for all their transactions so it's extremely easy to identify transactions with the intention to buy from them. I'll contact kratomdelight later today about this. A solution from their side would be to generate a new BTC address for each customer. This would make tracing transactions significantly harder.
If you are using a Coinbase (or a webwallet with ToS restricting transactions) there are things you can do to avoid such situations too. Transfering your funds thtough a mixer like bitmixer.io to an unrestricted wallet (bitcoin core, multibit, electrum etc.) would make your coins untraceable to your webwallet service. You can then move them wherever you like without risking having transactions linked to you from your wallet service.
TL;DR: Don't buy Kratom using Coinbase as your wallet (likely the same issue would happen with Xapo, Cirlce and other web wallets as long as they have restricting ToS) or risk having your account shut down.
please excuse my bad English, It's my second language.

MAD Doge - Market Analysis 2/25/2014 (Let's Do-this thing edition) Such Crazy, Much Sad, Very Scare!

What has this world come to? I get sick for a whole week and the whole crypto currency market crashes. Couldn't it wait until I could read it all?
Anyways, I'm all better and we're back on track for some regular market analyses. Unfortunately, with all the new developments, crypto currency has gotten even more complex, that's not to say you shouldn't do your own analysis every once in awhile, but it just means there's a lot more work for people that do.
I cannot cover everything, so I'll cover what I can in a shortened version.

NEWS (New & Old)

Well, you've probably already heard, but just to review it I will think out loud. Mt Gox Ceo resigned from the BitCoin foundation and has disappeared from the public spotlight, they also moved their offices back to a "Virtual Office" which means they could jump ship - and it looks like they did! This has caused a lot of problems, but other BitCoin exchanges are binding together to make sure that confidence is restored in BitCoin. *See The following article: (CoinBase Joing open letter)
Another straw on the camel's back is the new "PONY" virus that is taking over a lot of computers, stealing wallet information and then siphoning funds out of peoples wallets. [Crazy Theory, PONY... Product of N.Y.? Like the shoe? Such Conspiracy? Much theory?) Don't forget to check your wallet to make sure nothing was stolen and if any unexplained transactions have occurred, transfer it to a safer wallet ASAP!
DogeChain.info now has a mining pool, this came as a shock to me since DogeChain is the official block crawler for DogeCoin. Doesn't this mean DogeChain.info should be unbiased and separated from being too involved in DOGE mining? Before you freak out and begin to write a letter to the DogeCoin founders (I actually started writing one...) head over to their "Donations" page. (LINK) It seems DogeChain fell into the same problem Wikipedia fell into, they were an awesome free service that was hoping to cover their costs with donations, but instead found very little support. I think they saw that DogeCoin mining pools pay out quite a bit more than donations and wanted to act toward the longevity of DogeChain.info. When I look at it, I'd rather they have a mining pool than go the wikipedia route and have popup ads reminding you that you haven't paid for Wikipedia so you should pay/donate.
California accepted BitCoin as a form of currency, but not "Legal Tender". This means that BitCoins are no longer illegal in California (which was the reason for the current law), but are not payable for all debts public and private, like the US Dollar. This is a good thing, because if it was "Legal Tender" people would be forced to accept BitCoin, this would cause so many problems since not everyone has the means to accept BitCoin at their business. Let's put it this way, if a business is a cash-only business, why should we force them to accept credit cards or electronic currency by legal means, this would cause a few mom-and-pop shops (which are usually hidden-gems) to go out of business since they are excellent at their business, but not experts in the areas of technology.
If you've been following /dogecoin over the past week, you might have noticed that there was a lonely burger joint in the UK that was not getting any BTC / DOGE business. The Guardian article covers this and thankfully shows a bit of success.
Lastly, I just saw this morning that MTGOX has disappeared and caused more concern by not answering to rumors of stealing its customers' BitCoins.
So what can we do in the midst of this? BUY BUY BUY! and SELL SELL SELL! But not on the exchanges, more in real-life transactions. Buy a DOGE t-shirt! LINK get some more DOGE! Confidence may have fallen in BitCoin, but we can show that confidence can return through DogeCoin!
TLDR: Crypto currency confidence has fallen, perhaps it needs to regain it's confidence from DogeCoin?

Getting started with BitCoin? Here's the ultimate guide to get your first complete BTC without providing a CC or completing offers/surveys.

Want to play with Bitcoins but you don't want to spend money, give out your CC, or complete offers? This thread is for you.

1 coinbase.com

This website gives 0.1 BTC upon signup verification. It only requires email verification and SMS verification by phone to avoid abuse.
Total: 0.1 BTC Time until it's in your wallet: 1-2 hours

2 https://freebitcoins.appspot.com/

Pretty straight forward way to get 0.005 BTC. The site is used to propulgate bitcoin through out the digital world. Simply enter and verify your Google Mail account to get 0.005 BTC.
Total: 0.005 BTC Time until it's in your wallet: ~1 day

3 freebitcoins.org

There are 4 offers on this site that only require you to confirm your email address, without having to actually fill out any offers or surveys on their site. - Fat Cat Rewards - Survey Federation - Win Cash 24/7 - SnapDollars
Total: ~0.4 BTC Time until it's in your wallet: ~1 day
You can also do the long surveys/offers, but the 4 options above are the easiest payouts with minimal work.

4 https://bitdaytrade.com

Pretty straight foward. Sign up, verify email, 0.1 BTC gets credited to your trading account, you withdraw into your wallet.
Total: 0.1 BTC Time until it's in your wallet: up to 24 hours

5 http://www.bitcrate.net

This site is hit or miss. If you catch them during processing payout times, you'll have to wait. If you catch them during working hours while they give away BTC, then you'll get a fraction of however many BTC they're giving out that day.

6 https://coinurl.com

This site pays you for shortening your links using their service. You can make a pretty good buck if you're a blog owner with many links.
These are the sites I started off with to get my very first BitCoin!
